Fatih Tamay

A.Fatih Tamay graduated from ITU Aeronautical Engineering in 1980 and started his career as a Procurement Engineer in Anadolu Otomotiv Sanayi, a subsidiary of Anadolu Group and continued as an R&D Engineer at the Turkish Air Force in 1982.

Following this position, he worked as Purchasing Chief and then took part at Anadolu Isuzu that the First Turkish-Japanese Joint Venture Automotive Enterprise in Turkey.

And then he assigned Production Planning & Stock Control & Purchasing Manager at Anadolu Isuzu on 1996.

Following this tasks, he worked as Project Leader in SAP ERP System selection and  implementation. 

In the same period, he also served as the Chairman of the OSD Automotive Industry Association Purchasing Committee.

Since 2001, he has worked as the Sales Manager responsible for Sales, Service and Spare Parts, led the restructuring of the Turkish Dealer Network, during this period he also served as the Chairman of the OSD Automotive Industry Association Marketing Committee.

In 2006, he has assigned as Sales&Marketing Director and worked on the establishment of the Overseas Distributor Network, responsible for Sales, Marketing, Service, Spare Parts and Export Operations.

In addition to this duty, he served as the Acting General Manager between 2012-13.

Between 2012-17, he worked on Corporate Governance by taking part in Anadolu Isuzu Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Corporate Governance Committee and Risk Committee.

In addition to these duties, he has been the Chairman of the Board of IPRU International Passenger and Road Transportation Union, headquartered in Turkey and structured in 19 countries between 2015-2021.

He participated in fairs, conferences, training etc. activities in various countries, especially in Japan, Thailand and Germany.

After leaving the Anadolu Group at 2017, Tamay takes part in the Board of Directors of different Family Companies as an Independent Board Member and is working towards the Corporate Governance of Family Companies.

Tamay was elected as a Member to the ISO Istanbul Chamber of Industry Council and as a Member of the ISO Automotive and Supplier Industry Committee, a Member of the TOBB Automotive Industry Council, the TOBB Road Passenger Transport Council and the ITO Transportation Specialization Committee.

He takes part in various congresses, panels and conferences and as a participant or speaker in different NGO and universities.

He shares his experiences as an Independent Board Member and Executive Board Member and works on the Corporate Governance Projects at various Industrial Family Companies and he is a Member of ISO Corporate Governance in Family Companies Committee.

Tamay is a Member of the Board of Trustees of ISOV and TOSÖV Foundations, and as a Mentor in the Sabancı University Executive MBA Program for social responsibility purposes.

He is a Member of TKYD Corporate Governance Association of Turkey and the YUD Association of Board of Directors.

Fatih Tamay is married with a child and speaks English.
